My name is Carlie Hosnedl. I'm a senior at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, which, as far as I can tell, is The City of Unaired Contradictions. I love the city and look forward to graduating from CMU in December of next year. I'm majoring in Environmental Studies (self-defined), which is very socially-oriented: it includes history, art, policy, and science. Starting March 3rd (2006), I'll be in Northeastern Brazil, studying "Amazon Resource Management and Human Ecology" with SIT. I came to the conclusion that an online journal is the best way to keep yinz friends, family, professors, and all other people interested in my well-being and experiences up-to-date. I plan to post on Thursday night, so count on being able to read a new post every Friday.
